Celebrating Duck's new sidewalk and bike lane

The town of Duck hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 6 to celebrate the completion of the sidewalk and bike lane along the east side of Duck Road (NC 12). Funded in part by the Dare County Tourism Board, this portion is the first of three phases in the Comprehensive Pedestrian Plan within the town. The complete plan outlines recommended infrastructure improvements, project costs, safety policies and education programs. These pedestrian improvements complement the Duck Trail, Town Park and Soundside Boardwalk.
