The annual gathering to celebrate the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held at the Dare Center, 950 Marshall C. Collins Drive in Manteo, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12.
The guest speaker will be Dare Board of Commissioners Chairman Bob Woodard. Musical selections will be sung by the Echoes of Heritage and Robert Flowers. A buffet lunch will be served immediately after the program. Dare County offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
This is the 28th annual Dare County celebration of Dr. King’s birthday.
