Santa's clock raffle supports Food for Thought

Food for Thought board member Margaret Lawler, left, and local artist Mike Davis present a handcrafted clock to winners Bob and Cathy Sanborn. This is the 12th year that Davis has created and raffled a handmade clock to benefit Food for Thought, with this year’s raffle raising more than $1,400 for the non-profit, an all-volunteer organization that provides healthy non-perishable breakfasts and lunches for more than 400 pre-school, elementary, middle and some high school students who meet specific criteria in Dare County on weekends during the school year. The organization also provides personal items for mini-pantries at several middle schools.
