tethering law

The Dare County Board of Commissioners announced that it will hold a public hearing on Monday, Jan. 7, at 10 a.m. in the commissioners meeting room to receive public comment, both written and oral, on a proposed change to Dare County's ordinance governing the general care and tethering of dogs. As a result of this hearing a change may be made to the current ordinance to impose more stringent penalties for violations. A copy of the proposed change is on file in the office of the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, located at 954 Marshall Collins Drive in Manteo.
