Manteo High School honored its baseball and softball seniors last week. Alfie Wheeler, Manteo High School Director of Athletics/Head Baseball Coach shared some thoughts on how special these athletes are.

“This has been a great group of seniors,” he said. “They have been a lot of fun to be around, and helped to lead some of our younger players. Baseball seniors are John Hancock, Bryce Davenport, Tripp Phillips, Bryson Casey, and Jay Woodson. They have worked extremely hard both on and off the field.”

Manteo softball seniors Aaliyah Elliot, Skylar Williamson and Logan Saunders received a brick inscribed with their name and number, a senior tradition that Coach Chad Leary started two years ago. “They will be missed next year, but all of them have goals they want to accomplish following graduation, and a plan to achieve them,” added Wheeler.
